Exciting opportunity to join a leading CRM solutions firm. Working
with their Insurance \ Financial Services clients you will manage
their client and production databases.
Responsibilities:
* Manage the quickly expanding internal, production and client
database environments ranging from a few GB to multiple TB.
* Guide product architecture decisions to ensure the best
application performance.
* Provide database planning and implementation guidelines by
collaborating with the team and with clients.
* Assess and optimize the performance and scalability of the
application in multiple configurations.
* Collaborate with other teams to produce client-side support and
operational manuals.
* Collaborate with the Director of Technology and the CTO to
determine future directions and product roadmaps w.r.t. various
platforms and/or versions.
* Maintain and administer the existing database environments,
including deploying patches and upgrades, creating new database,
scheduling and maintaining admin tasks.
* Communicate and present to clients, visiting client sites.
Must Have Experience:
* Expertise with both Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server, including
advanced concepts and performance tuning
* Solaris and Windows operating systems.
* Storage Area Networks - SAN
* Large enterprise-level databases.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Multi-terabyte
* Be a database expert.
Assets:
Sybase, MySQL and PostgreSQL
Linux and AIX
Hosted and/or virtualized environments
Knowledge of:
Oracle RAC and SQL Clusters.
