Oracle DBA Job - Permanent


Responsibility:
" Administer, maintain, develop and implement policies and
procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of all Oracle
databases.
" Install, upgrade and patch Oracle RDBMS in development, test
and production environment.
" Allocate database storage and planning future storage
requirements for all database systems.
" Monitor and maintain database security; Control and monitor
user access to the database.
" Create primary database storage structures, design and create
primary objects, modify database structure as necessary for
enhancements or performance.
" Monitor and optimize the performance of the database;
Configure memory and disk resources to optimize database performance.
" Detect and resolve contention problems within the Oracle
database environment; Identify and resolve I/O, data storage and
database configuration problems.
" Identify and tune the SQL and PL/SQL statements for optimal
Oracle process performance.
" Plan and implement database backup and recovery.
" Research, evaluate, design, test, recommend and plan
implementation of new or improved Oracle RDBMS and database tools.
" Maintain relationship with Oracle and act as first point of
contact regarding technical and licensing issues.

Required Experience:
" Minimum three years experience as an Oracle DBA.
" Advanced administration knowledge of multi Oracle database
releases.
" Ability to work effectively at multiple levels of the
organization.
" Excellent written and verbal communication skills
" Solid prioritization and project management skills
" Creative problem solving-capabilities Ability to work
cooperatively as well as independently.
" Strong evidence of initiative and follow-through.
" Bachelors Degree preferred.
